GeoGo was born from a simple idea: getting outside should be fun. We wanted to create something that turns an ordinary walk into an adventure — solving clues, exploring new spots, and discovering places you might walk past every day without a second glance.
GeoGo is made by a small group of creatives based in Sheffield. No big company, no investors, no ads. Just a bunch of people who love this city and wanted to build something fun. We hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoy making it.
Each challenge gives you a series of riddle-like clues that point to real-world locations. Read the clue, figure out where it's pointing to, travel there, and tap “Check My Answer” when you think you've arrived. Your phone's GPS confirms if you're in the right spot. Complete all the stops to finish the challenge!
Whether you're a family looking for a weekend activity, friends exploring a new city, or just someone who wants a reason to take a different route — GeoGo is for you. No experience needed, no special equipment, just your phone and a sense of curiosity.
We collaborate with small businesses, artists, and creatives across Sheffield. Not for money. Because we appreciate what they do and want them to stick around. If someone is making something brilliant and not enough people know about it, we want to help fix that. Good stuff deserves a spotlight.
We use AI to help us move faster. It means a tiny team can build something that would normally need a much bigger one, and that means GeoGo gets to stay free. We think AI should be used to give things back to people, not take from them. At a time when everything costs more and does less, we want to make something genuinely useful and put it in your hands for nothing.
