We collect as little data as possible. We don't track you personally, we don't sell anything, and we don't share your information with anyone. GeoGo is free and we intend to keep it that way.
Analytics (Vercel Analytics & Speed Insights) — opt-in — If you accept analytics cookies, we use Vercel's built-in analytics to understand how people use GeoGo in general terms. This includes things like page views, referrer URLs, browser type, and performance metrics. This data is aggregated and anonymous. We can't identify individual users from it. If you decline, analytics are never loaded and no data is collected.
Your Location — When you tap “Check My Answer” during a challenge, your browser shares your GPS coordinates with the app. This is used once, in that moment, to check if you're near the right spot. Your location is never sent to our servers or stored anywhere.
Local Storage — Your completed challenges, activity history, and cookie preference are saved in your browser's local storage. This stays on your device. We never see it. If you clear your browser data, it's gone.
Analytics cookies are only set if you choose to allow them. When you first visit GeoGo, we ask for your preference. If you decline, no analytics cookies are set at all. No advertising or tracking cookies are ever used. See our Cookie Policy for more detail.
Vercel — Hosts GeoGo and provides analytics. Their privacy policy is available at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
Google Fonts — We use the Fredoka typeface loaded via Next.js, which self-hosts the font files. No requests are made to Google servers.
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you. Since we don't collect personal data, there's nothing for us to hand over. But if you have questions or concerns, get in touch at hello@jamesdodd.com.
