Why don't I need to create an account or log in?+

We believe the best apps are the ones you can just use. No sign-up walls, no passwords to remember. Open GeoGo, pick a challenge, and go. Your activity is stored locally on your device — we never see it.

Do you collect any of my data?+

We use Vercel Analytics to track page views and performance in aggregate, but this is anonymous and we can't identify individual users from it. We don't collect personal data, location history, or anything tied to you. Your GPS is only used in the moment to check if you're near the right spot. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.

Is GeoGo really free?+

Yes, completely free. No premium tiers, no in-app purchases, no hidden costs. GeoGo is a passion project and we want it to stay accessible to everyone.

Are there sponsors or ads?+

Nope. GeoGo has no sponsors, no ads, and no commercial partnerships. It's built and maintained independently. We'd rather keep it simple and enjoyable than cluttered with promotions.

How accurate does my GPS need to be?+

Each clue has a generous acceptance radius (usually 50–200 metres). As long as you're in the general area of the answer, you'll get the green light. Urban areas with tall buildings can sometimes affect accuracy — try stepping into an open area if you're having trouble.

Can I play the same challenge more than once?+

Absolutely! Each play will be logged separately in your activity history so you can try to beat your previous time.

What happens to my activity log?+

Your completed challenges are saved in your browser's local storage. This means they stay on your device and are never sent anywhere. If you clear your browser data, your activity log will be cleared too.

Does GeoGo work offline?+

You need an internet connection to load a challenge, but once it's loaded the GPS checking works without one. For the best experience, make sure you have mobile data or Wi-Fi when you start.
